BILLING & MEMBERSHIP POLICIES
Bills are due on the 1st of each month via autopay from an on-file card
Important Note: A merchant fee of 3% will be charged on all credit card transactions. There is no merchant fee for debit card or ACH bank account payments.
A 30 day written notice via email is required to cancel any membership
A 24 hour notice is required for all cancellations to be eligible for a make-up lesson. You can cancel and reschedule upcoming lessons through your Pike13 account.
In the event of a same day cancellation, even though a make-up lesson will not be issued, we encourage you to call or email us so we can make the teachers aware.
Make-up lessons expire after 30 days and can only be used with a current membership
If you ever call and no one is available to answer, please leave a voicemail, and we will get back to you as soon as we can.
Make-up passes are not issued for holiday closures.
PIKE13 - ONLINE SCHEDULING & BILLING SYSTEM
You can have access to your schedule, bills, and forms of payment through our scheduling program, Pike13. Here you can also cancel and reschedule upcoming lessons.
You can login here: https://johnscreek-sor.pike13.com
*Bookmark this page for easy access*
You will also need to sign a waiver issued by Pike13 once you sign in. This step is CRITICAL in accessing our SOR app and supplemental learning materials.
IN-PERSON LEARNING POLICY - CODE OF CONDUCT / SAFETY
All students must have a signed Code of Conduct / Safety waiver (located in Pike13) to participate in programs that take place in our building.
CHECK IN/CHECK OUT POLICY
Currently, every student, regardless of age, is required to remain on School of Rock premises unless accompanied by a parent or guardian. This policy is written into the Guardian waiver. However, we understand that some families may require an alternative solution. Therefore, we are pleased to announce that our school is adopting a new Check Out Policy that will continue to uphold the highest safety standards.
Every student will receive a student badge with their first name and last initial.
Photos will be taken of each student to update their Pike 13 profile for identification purposes only.
If you have student(s) age 13 or older, you will receive a request to sign an optional waiver called the “Student Dismissal Waiver”
Students who are 13 years or older and have a signed “Student Dismissal” waiver will receive a holographic sticker that indicates that they can leave the school for end-of-activity departure without a parent or guardian accompanying them.
All students will need to wear their badges, attach them to their instrument bags, or place them within their instrument cases so that they have them during School of Rock activities each week.
VIRTUAL LESSONS
Available upon request and instructor availability.
If the school is closed due to inclement weather, we will switch to virtual lessons for the day. Same day cancellations on the day in which the school operates virtually are not eligible for a make up pass.
A great option for sick days. Call or email the school for availability.
SUBSTITUTE TEACHER POLICY
All of our instructors are working musicians who tour, record, gig, and occasionally get sick. This means that your child may have a substitute for lessons and rehearsals occasionally. We believe that substitutes can greatly benefit our students by supplying a new perspective on their progress as a musician.
HOLIDAY CLOSURES
We are closed for six major holidays, Christmas Day, New Year’s Day, Memorial Day, July 4th, Labor Day and Thanksgiving. As a reminder, we do not provide make-ups for these holidays. However, in months where it works out that you get five lessons, we don't charge more for those extra lessons and/or rehearsals.
"PREP WEEK" CLOSURES
Prep Week is a long held School of Rock practice that our location will now be implementing. SoR Johns Creek will close for one week at the end of each Performance Program season, similar to a public school teacher in-service week.
We use Prep Week to better serve our SoR community. Our team will be training & providing professional development for staff, preparing logistics for next season, repairing gear, improving facility needs, deep-cleaning, and providing students with a much needed break from the previous season’s hard work before diving into the next. It's an opportunity for us to hit the reset button and hit the ground running next season!
Please note, our tuition is based on a yearly average. We do not charge extra for 5 week months.
EAR PROTECTION POLICY
We like to get loud when we play music here, so we require all students in rehearsals or on stage. All students must have some form of ear protection. Please see the front desk for purchase.
PERFORMANCE PROGRAM SHOW FEES
Each student in a Performance Program Show (including some Rock 101 performances) is required to purchase a Show pack for each season. The show fee contains discounted tickets to your show, posters, and other promotional materials. The ticket pack prices are determined by the event size restrictions.
